Summer time Fundraiser Highlights
This summer season, LETR organized a number of participating fundraising occasions that introduced the neighborhood collectively whereas selling inclusivity and help for our athletes. From promoting t-shirts for the Torch Run in June to our “Cops on a Rooftop” in early September, these initiatives showcased the dedication of native regulation enforcement and their dedication to our mission.
1. Torch Run
The season kicked off with the Torch Run! Departments throughout the state ran the “Flame of Hope” by their communities, which ended with the Last Leg which kicked of our 2024 Summer time Video games at College of Vermont. As part of the Torch Run, the gross sales of our “Guardians of the Flame” t-shirts introduced in funds for SOVT!
2. Tip-A-Cop
From Might to August, LETR held 5 Tip-a-Cop fundraisers! Two have been held at JP’s Restaurant and Deli and three have been held at Applebee’s in South Burlington, Rutland, and Berlin! Throughout these occasions, regulation enforcement personnel volunteer their time as servers and hosts. 100% of the “ideas” they obtain are donated to Particular Olympics Vermont!
3. Cops on a Rooftop
In early September, native regulation enforcement have been stationed at a number of VT Dunkin’ places greeting patrons and elevating funds and consciousness for the Regulation Enforcement Torch Run for Particular Olympics Vermont! This fundraiser engaged neighborhood members with Regulation Enforcement and SOVT athletes as they grabbed their morning espresso.
4. LETR Coin Drop
In late September, native regulation enforcement from Manchester, VT collected donations on the town as part of a ‘coin drop’. Joined by athletes from our Northshire delegation, this fundraiser linked the folks of Manchester, VT with our mission whereas out and about. We’re grateful for everybody who took time to make a donation!
