Minnesota Twins reduction pitcher Daniel Duarte will bear season-ending elbow surgical procedure on Could 8, the group mentioned Saturday.
It has not been decided whether or not he could have Tommy John surgical procedure or inside brace surgical procedure. The kind of process will influence his return date in 2025.
Duarte was a non-roster invitee in spring coaching and made the group. In two video games, the right-hander was 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA, throwing 4 innings and giving up one run on two hits. He struck out three batters and walked one.
The 27-year-old Duarte spent the previous two seasons with the Cincinnati Reds. He was 3-0 with a 4.19 ERA and one save in 34 video games.
