Paris Olympics 2024: 800m champion Athing Mu fails to qualify


Reigning girls’s Olympic 800m champion Athing Mu won’t defend her title on the 2024 Paris Video games after falling within the US trials.

The 22-year-old tripped as she ran in the course of the pack about 200m into the race in Eugene, Oregon and completed final.

Nia Akins received the race and can journey to Paris together with runner-up Allie Wilson and third-placed Juliette Whittaker.
