Angels’ Anthony Rendon day-to-day with bruised proper elbow


ANAHEIM, Calif. — Los Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon was eliminated throughout the fourth inning of Friday evening’s 3-2 win over the Atlanta Braves because of a bruised proper elbow.

He’s thought-about day-to-day, in line with supervisor Ron Washington.

The oft-injured Rendon has performed in solely 41 video games this season and is hitless in his previous 12 at-bats. He missed 68 video games earlier this season because of a strained left hamstring and eight video games a few weeks in the past with decrease again irritation.

The 34-year-old Rendon has not performed greater than 58 video games in any of his 5 seasons with the Angels after signing a seven-year, $245 million contract.
