NEW YORK — James Hoye would be the plate umpire and crew chief for the All-Star Recreation on July 16 at Globe Life Discipline in Arlington, Texas.
Hoye was the left subject umpire for the 2015 All-Star Recreation in Cincinnati. The 53-year-old made his main league debut in 2003 and labored the World Sequence in 2019 and 2022.
His crew consists of Bruce Dreckman at first, John Tumpane at second, Nic Lentz at third, Ben Could in left and Texas resident Nestor Ceja in proper, Main League Baseball mentioned Tuesday. Dreckman might be working his second All-Star Recreation and the remainder of the crew their first.
Rob Drake would be the replay umpire at MLB’s workplace in New York.
Oakland supervisor Mark Kotsay might be a part of Texas supervisor Bruce Bochy’s AL employees and Cincinnati supervisor David Bell might be a part of Arizona supervisor Torey Lovullo’s NL employees.
