Jordan Williams banned: Jockey will get six-month cocaine suspension


Jockey Jordan Williams has been banned for six months after testing constructive for cocaine.

Williams, 25, confronted an unbiased disciplinary panel on Thursday following a breach of the British Horseracing Authority’s (BHA) Guidelines of Racing.

The principles state a jockey should make sure that no banned substances are current of their physique.

Williams was chosen for a random medicine check at Kempton on 7 February.

The jockey offered a hair pattern that confirmed cocaine had been ingested between December and February.

Williams admitted the breach and the unbiased panel issued a six-month ban, the BHA stated.

His interval of ineligibility was backdated to begin on 11 March 2024, when his interim suspension started following the constructive check consequence.
