France full-back Melvyn Jaminet has been suspended for 34 weeks and fined 30,000 euros (£25,335) by the French Rugby Federation (FFR) after he posted a racist video on social media.
Throughout France’s summer season tour of Argentina earlier this month, the 25-year-old posted the video, which included a racist remark aimed on the Arab group.
In an announcement, the FFR mentioned Jaminet had “harmed the perfect pursuits of rugby”.
The Toulouse full-back can scale back his ban by eight weeks by collaborating in anti-discrimination actions to “promote the values of sport”.
Completion of these actions would free Jaminet to be out there for choice earlier than the beginning of the 2025 Six Nations.
